I call this one a skate for a date. This skateboard couples session at Schiller Park in Columbus, Ohio felt like I was simply a fly on the wall with a camera while Jennifer and Bronson simply hung out at the park together. The night was slow as they skateboarded, swung, flirted, and cracked open a beer. It was relaxed. It was thoughtful. It was casual. It was fun. It was simply “them”.
We started the session by warming up on the skateboard.
Need to grab a quick kiss of course. Seriously, these two were killing the flirting game.
I love it when couples don’t need or ask for a lot of direction. Most of these images were complete spontaneous moments. These two couldn’t get enough of each other.
I love a good dreamy detail shot. Again, not posed at all.
Flirting on the swings.
A quick make-out session in the grass. Make sure the kids aren’t looking.
We snuck in a beer break at the end. This one is from Seventh Son in Columbus, Ohio.
That about wraps up our Skateboard Couples Session. Jennifer and Bronson were the cutest to photograph. I really appreciate a slower-paced, more relaxed, and personal session. When couples opt for sessions like these- ones that truly feel authentic to them- it shows in the final gallery. The images turn out more honest as personalities peak out more easily while doing something you might usually do if the camera wasn’t there. Jennifer and Bronson are really happy with how their gallery turned out because of this.
